UI Engineer for Lending Tree

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated UI Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a UI Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the front-end components of our applications, ensuring a seamless and visually appealing user experience. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, and back-end engineers to create user interfaces for web and mobile applications.
  • Develop responsive and efficient front-end components using modern web technologies (e.g., HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript).
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize user interfaces for performance.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code, following best practices in software development.
  • Implement visual and interaction design specifications provided by UX/UI designers, and contribute to design decisions.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality standards are met.
  • Troubleshoot and debug UI issues, ensuring high-quality, smooth user experiences.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest UI trends, tools, and technologies, and propose innovative solutions to improve the application interface.
  • Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate APIs and web services.
  • Contribute to the testing of front-end code, including unit, integration, and UI testing.
  • Maintain and improve UI components and frameworks to ensure scalability and usability.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience as a UI Engineer, Front-End Developer, or similar role.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a deep understanding of modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
  • Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and responsive web design techniques.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Knowledge of CSS preprocessors like Sass or LESS.
  • Familiarity with build tools and task runners (e.g., Webpack, Gulp, Grunt).
  • Ability to work effectively in an agile development environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with TypeScript.
  • Knowledge of design systems and component-based development.
  • Familiarity with front-end testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha, Cypress).
  • Experience with mobile-first and cross-platform development.
